The roadmap for the forthcoming elections of the Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) Executive Committee is out with the event proper slated for January 2022 during its (UBF) Elective General Assembly.

This development was confirmed on Wednesday, 23rd December 2021 by Sserunkuma Bruno of M/S GW Bwanika & Co. Advocates who is the returning officer for the elective exercise.

Sserunkuma’s four-page missive was addressed to the members of the federation whilst those copied in were; International Boxing Association, Minister of Education and Sports, National Council of Sports, Uganda Olympic Committee and the UBF Secretariat.

The elections will happen on 22nd January 2022 at Kati Kati Restaurant in Lugogo, Kampala. This will be after a buildup of events including; issues to do with nomination forms, necessary verifications and the like.

There are five positions up for grabs, that is; President, General Secretary, Treasurer, Representative of Women in Boxing and Representative for Ex Internationals.

“The qualifications and requirements for the elective office shall be strictly in accordance with the UBF Constitution, 2021 as amended which are well known by any interested candidate contesting for any elective office,” part of the missive read adding that nomination fee is UGX1M.
