Gaddafi FC took care of Mbarara City FC 1-0 in a Uganda Premier League game played at the Kakyeka Stadium on Wednesday.
Forward Amos Kirya’s first half goal ensured the Soldier Boys take all three points to register their first away victory of the season.
Kirya gave visitors the lead on 18 minutes off a solo run after he was put through on goal by Faizal Muwawu.
The Ankole Lions kicked off the second half in high spirits and took the game to the visitors but could not find a leveller.
Twelves minutes from time, Seiri Arigumaho thought he had equalized but saw his goal disallowed for handball.
After 13 League games, Gaddafi stay ninth on the log with 17 points. For Mbarara City, they stay eleventh on the log with 14 points.
In their next fixtures, Gaddafi host URA FC while Mbarara City visit KCCA FC.
