National women’s volleyball league title holders KCB-Nkumba (NUVC-A) earlier this week unveiled its new kit for the second round of the league that serves off this coming weekend.
The kit is also going to be used to consolidate the existing fanbase by identifying them with the team. The Sponsors KCB bank would like to see the 7 time League champions build a strong fanbase. The new kit will be purchased at shs 40,000 by the fans.
The KCB-Nkumba team managers Hermes Sports Limited also unveiled a partnership with Fitness Health Nutrition Sports (FHNS) who are going to provide rehabilitation and injury prevention services to the athletes.
FHNS brand led by Dr. Isaac Otuk have been providing services to KCB-Nkumba players but have now agreed to formalise their working relationship.
Katikamu SDA Secondary School was also been unveiled as the official Academy for KCB-Nkumba ladies team.
The Hermes Sports team is to provide technical support to the school while the school will provide scholarships to identified potential talents. The headteacher Mr. Julius Namansa was very excited to be part of this collaboration and believes his students will be developed and shall receive the required exposure
According to Godwin Ssennyondo, Director of Hermes Sports, the decision to partner with Katikamu was reached upon because they have had a close working relationship with the school from the past having got players like Otim Dickens, Opio Moses, AKisa Violet, Nepo Muhammad, Jackie Achieng and Yelena Juma
