Vipers SC have now tallied 46 points in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League 2021/22 season after beating Busoga United on matchday 21 at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

Goals from Hillary Mukundane and Paul Mucureezi earned the Venoms a deserved win with the 15-team league in its final bend.

It was Mukundane’s first goal for the club. He capitalized on Bright Anukani’s cross to head home in the 25th minute. He was later named man of the match after a spirited display.

Earlier on, Anukani would have put himself on the score sheet but he sent his penalty kick over the bar after Vipers’ Milton Karisa was brought down from the area.

The home side dominated proceedings but were somehow not ruthless in front of goal as Yunus Sentamu, Karisa and Cesar Manzoki all came close.

Mucureezi’s goal came in the 87th after he unleashed a thunderbolt that easily struck the back of the net. He came in for Siraje Sentamu.
