*KCCA FC 1-0 Bright Stars
*Onduparaka 0-2 Vipers
Juma Ibrahim was on target as KCCA FC beat Bright Stars 1-0 in their StarTimes Uganda Premier League (UPL) clash on Tuesday at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo in Kampala.
It was Juma Ibrahim’s maiden goal for the Kasasiro Boys in what was also his first start for the club at home.
Juma Ibrahim capitalized on Roger Mato’s beautiful cross from the right flunk to slot home. Goalie Emmanuel Derrick Were wasn’t equal to the task.
However, earlier in the game, Juma Ibrahim was denied by the custodian moments before Sadat Anaku also made an attempt on goal.
Bright Stars on the other hand couldn’t utilize their chances as the home side fielded precisely in the back.
Derrick Ngobi and skipper Nelson Ssenkatuka could have all scored for the visitors but the home side was hard to break down.
Victory for KCCA means that they consolidate second position on the table. They now have 53 points, four ahead of third placed URA FC.
Bright stars remain 10th on the table with 30 points.
In their next matches, KCCA will still be at home as they play host to Busoga United on Saturday. Bright Stars will play away against URA FC.
