Uganda women’s national football team, Crested Cranes are in Morocco ahead of the 2022 Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) that kicks off on Saturday, 2nd July.

Majority of the contingent touched down on Thursday evening while the remaining legion will soon join the camp.

By press time, part of the team was at Charlie De Gaulle International Airport, Paris after delayed connecting flight to Marakesh. However, FUFA was on top of the situation and by end of today, it will be full house in the Crested Cranes camp.

“We have managed to arrange new travel plans and tickets for the remainder of the team after facing challenges yesterday with the connecting flight from Charlie De Gaulle International Airport, Paris to Marakesh,” FUFA said on Friday morning.

Uganda is in Group A alongside hosts Morocco, Burkina Faso and Senegal.
