Organisers of the forthcoming UMC Fort Portal Tourism City Rally 2022, set for this weekend (8th – 10th July) have named one of rally stages against club life member and Rally legend, Karim Hirji.
The business mogul who is currently retired from active rallying, is honored for his contributions towards the club and sponsorship.
Of the three competitive stages that have been earmarked for running on Saturday and Sunday, Karim Hirji stage which is 9.94km will be driven thrice on the Sunday leg.
Meanwhile, Ambeere Ga Nyina Mwiiru stage, that had been marked to run on Saturday and Sunday, has been cancelled due sport day activities at the school near start of the stage over same weekend.
The running stages on Saturday will be, Harugongo which is 25.6km then Kyakaigo 5.52km, before first service to the two super special stage runs at Kyakaigo Sports Arena.
On Sunday, drivers will drive three morning stage; Harugongo, Kyakaigo and Karim Hirji(9.94km) before first service,then they will be repeated and rally ends.
A total of 100km competitive and 74.12km as liaison, will be covered for the weekend rally.
