FUFA Drum: David Obua in charge of Lango Province as Vialli Bainomugisha returns to Akii Bua Stadium with Ankole Province

The wait is over as the FUFA Drum returns this weekend with various Provinces in action on at different playgrounds after two years of waiting due to outbreak of COVID-19.

Matchday one is filled with thought-provoking action when 2019 finalists Lango host Ankole at the Akii Bua Stadium in Lira on Saturday in an anticipated mouth watering encounter.

The White Rhinos have brought back Uganda Cranes Legend David Obua as their Head Coach in an anticipation to improve their performance this season while the opponents, Ankole have experienced Vialli Bainomugisha in their dugout as the Head Coach.

Lango Province is relying on their star players Moses Aliro, Joakim Ojera, Ivan Okello, Isaac Okello, Denis Omedi, Emmanuel Okech and Darius Ojok while the boys from the land of milk and honey have Denis Otim, Joseph Akandwanaho, Chrales Musiige, Ashraf Mugume among other players in a bid to go past Lango.

In another game on Saturday, Abbey Kikomeko’s coached Bukedi host Fred Kajoba’s Kampala region at Booma Grounds in Butalejja in the first leg of round of 16 of the FUFA Drum 2022.

Bukedi Province is looking onto Star players like Julius Poloto, John Revita all from KCCA FC , Fredson Gwoto of Bul FC and Ronald Musana whom they expect to lead other players in an anticipation to advance past Kampala Province which has Star players like Martin Kizza, Gavin Kizito, Travis Mutyaba, Titus Ssematimba and Ibrahim Kasule.

On Sunday Godfrey ‘Toldo’ Awachango’s coached Bugisu Province hosts Jessy Lukoki’s Sebei region at the Mbale Municipla Stadium while Busoga hosts Teso Province at the Saaza Grounds in Iganga.
