Uganda Premier League
Wednesday’s Result
Vipers SC 4-0 Onduparaka FC
Blacks Power 0-1 SC Villa
Maroons 1-0 Gaddafi
Vipers SC dispatched off West Nile side Onduparaka FC 4-0 to assume the Uganda Premier League summit on Wednesday at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
Bright Anukani, Karim Watambala, Ibrahim Orit and Milton Karisa struck to help the Venoms into an instant turnaround of results, following Sunday’s 1-0 loss to Gaddafi FC.
In a dominant opening half Gasper Adriko held Watambala’s shot in the box for a penalty which Anukani brilliantly converted in the 20th minute.
In less than a minute, Vioero doubled their lead through Watambala’s well taken shot after a Milton Karisa pass.
Vipers nearly made it three at the hour-mark, but Marvin Joseph Youngman’s stinging shot crashed against the post.
In the 78th minute, substitute Orit made it three in scintillating fashion, latching on a Karisa layoff to thump home from outside the box.
Both Watambala and Karisa missed glorious chances to extend Vipers lead in the 85th minute.
Karisa then wrapped up the evening with a sumptuous finish, following a clever through ball by Cromwel Rwothomio.
At the top with 23 points in 11 matches, the Venoms will return in action against Express FC on December 13th.
Onduparaka on the other hand remain winless and are the bottom of the table with 2 points. They face Maroons on Sunday.
