Uganda was drawn in Group B (termed as group of death by many) together with DR Congo, Senegal and Cote D’Ivoire but the mighty Cranes are yet to concede a goal in the opening two games played i.e., against DR Congo and the favorites Senegal. The boys drew 0-0 in the opening game against DR. Congo and picked a 1-0 win against the favorites Senegal, Vipers SC captain, Milton Karisa with the only goal of the game and URA FC captain, Nathian Alionzi saving a penalty
