CFAO Motors Uganda have today, Thursday, 22nd June unveiled a two-year partnership with Entebbe Golf Club. Through the partnership, CFAO Motors will co-sponsor two tournaments at the club, that is the MTN Monthly Tee and the Singleton Match Play Challenge.
CFAO’s partnership involves both a cash contribution towards the club and brand new motor vehicles for the hole-in-one prize. The cars will be staked starting with this Saturday’s (June 24th) MTN Monthly Tee event and during the opening weekend (qualifying round) of the Matchplay Challenge next month and during the grand finales of the same events only. A lucky golfer who will first sink in a hole-in-one at Hole 10 in one of the four outings will take the car.
While unveiling the partnership at their showroom in Kampala, Isaac Tegule who is the Marketing Manager at CFAO Motors Uganda told the media that this new development is a testimony of their commitment towards the growth and development golf and sports as a whole.
“Our relationship with the golf fraternity dates way back…recently we have sponsored very many events at various clubs in the country. For us golf as a sport is a very key engagement we look to invest in a long haul because it gives us an opportunity to engage with our key clientele. Golf also provides physical and health benefits plus the social benefits of networking and it’s a perfect place for us to engage with our clients beyond the day-to-day transactions we do with them,” Tegule said.
For this weekend’s Tee, golfers participating in the event will have a chance to win a brand-new Toyota Corolla Cross as the thrilling hole-in-one prize. This exciting opportunity was made possible by the generous backing of Afrisafe, an insurance broker affiliated with Entebbe Club.
Eng. Jacob Byamukama who is the Chairperson Entebbe Golf Club said that the partnership will spice up the two tournaments and most golfers will be looking forward to the match days.
“When you have a prize like a hole-in-one, it increases the excitement and value of the tournament and we want to thank CFAO for coming on board. As a club, I know members will be looking forward to these events,” Eng. Byamukama said adding that Entebbe Golf Club is always a place to be as it has other activities save golf.
Entebbe Golf Club Captain, Seruwano Walusimbi said that CFAO Motors have always been their for golfers and Entebbe Golf Club in particular and the new partnership is simply a renewal of their commitment towards the game of birdies and bogies, something that they delight in.
“We are very excited to have CFAO on board and Afrisafe who are doing insurance for the vehicles. It’s really a good package they have put together for golfers,” Walusimbi noted adding that this Saturday there’ll be a side-tournament at the club and the proceeds will go towards junior golf developments.
During the MTN Monthly Tee of Tees (grand finale), CFAO Motors will also showcase its recently launched flagship vehicle, the brand-new Toyota Starlet 2023. This exceptional car model embodies the perfect blend of style, performance, and cutting-edge technology. Participants at the event will have the unique opportunity to test drive the Corolla Cross, similar to the hole-in-one prize vehicle and experience its exceptional features firsthand.
