Uganda’s only light candle in the 85CC class at World Junior MX Championships in Romania has blown out after Gift Ssebuguzi fractures self at training.
Uganda opted to hire bikes in Romania instead of riding on theirs due to the high logistical cost implications.
Thus on Wednesday, the team had have a feel of the hired bikes and the track, ahead of qualifiers on Saturday.
Ssebuguzi fractured both legs, after overshooting a jump landed flat hard, and is definitely ruled out of play for the weekend World championships.
Its not yet clear if his services will be available at the forthcoming FIM- Africa Motocross of African Nations (MXOAN) set to be held in Cape Town, South Africa mid August, 2023.
The battle at the world championship is now left to the Katende brothers, Miguel and Jonathan in 65CC to qualify amongst the top 40, and see themselves at the start gates on Sunday.
