St Mary’s College Kisubi (SMACK) made history as they became the first school to win the FUFA Tv cup trophy.
SMACK came from a goal down to defeat a resilient Kiira College Butiki side 2-1 on Saturday at Muteesa ll Stadium Wankulukuku.
Both coaches assembled their strong sides with SMACK’s Ronald Malcolm Mugalu-naming his inspirational custodian Darren Aine, skipper Mahad Mubiru, Clovis Paul Griffin Mwesigwa and Jimmy Ambayo in the starting XI while his counterpart Fred Lumu Lujja included goal machine Gift Fred Mutalya and Eminai Ernest Kenneth.

Both sides seemed conservative in the first 30 minutes of the match as the tie looked cagey.
Usual suspect Gift Fred Mutalya then rose to the occasion as he opened up the score with a calm finish inside the opponent’s box past SMACK goalkeeper Aine to send Butiki fans in crazy celebrations.
As the game was destined for spot kicks, Mwesigwa Griffin had other ideas as he won it late in the 90th minute after receiving a through ball from the midfield to cleverly run past Mutabazi and scored from a tight angle to guide his side to the historic win. There was a mix-up of the Butiki goalkeeper and his backline.
