Peace Kabasweka and Sheila Kesiime are still one of the teams unbeaten in the main event of the 2023 Singleton Match Play Challenge. The duo is in pursuit for a second title having hoisted the 2018 edition.
The all-female pair are through to the next phase of the competition (round of 16) after they beat an all-male team of Peter Mujuni and Paul Katwiremu 1up during the round of 32 (round two) played on Saturday at Entebbe Club’s par-71 lakeside golf course.
Kabasweka who’s one of the team players said that it was a tough round albeit them coming on top.
“The game wasn’t easy because we had a very tough opponent. We made some mistakes for example they took hole 5 because of carelessness on our side but we thank God because we got the energy and managed to win,” Kabasweka said.
