In a momentous collaboration for the anticipated Tusker Lite Mt Rwenzori Marathon, CFAO Motors Uganda has announced its involvement as the sponsor of the lead cars for both the 21 km and the 42 km races.
CFAO Motors, through its Toyota brand, will demonstrate their continued commitment to community engagement and sporting events by showcasing two of its iconic Toyota models – a branded Urban Cruiser and Corolla Cross.
As the marathon gears up to provide both runners and spectators with an unparalleled experience, the addition of Toyota’s cutting-edge vehicles is set to elevate the event’s stature. Known for their reliability, efficiency, and style, the chosen Toyota vehicles encapsulate the spirit of endurance and excellence that the marathon stands for.
The collaboration between CFAO Motors and the marathon organizers exemplifies the synergy between top-tier sports events and leading brands. Participants and attendees can look forward to witnessing the sleek Toyota vehicles in action on the marathon day, leading the path to victory.
Amos Wekesa the Director of Equator Hikes, the organisers of the marathon says that CFAO Motors coming on board is a huge boost for the marathon as it’s colour to it.
“I think a lot of you know that marathons across the world have Toyota leading the way with their lead cars. CFAO Motors’ involvement means we get to raise the bar for marathons in Uganda to an international level. The Toyota cars will ensure that the elite marathon runners will be escorted smoothly through the race, making the marathon a benchmark in organized sporting events,” Wekesa said.
Isaac Tegule who is the Marketing Manager at CFAO Motors Uganda told the media that this new development gives them pride adding that their support will be a good addition to the event.
“We are incredibly proud to support the Tusker Lite Mt. Rwenzori Marathon. Our cars, The Toyota Urban Cruiser for the 21 km and the Toyota Corolla Cross, known for their resilience and performance, mirror the spirit of the marathon’s participants. Slated for 2nd September in Kasese, the Tusker Lite Mt Rwenzori Marathon will have runners competing in a 42km full marathon, a 21km half marathon and a 5km fun run.
Kits for the marathon are now available for pick up at Station Xpress, Shop GF26, Forest Mall Lugogo Bypass, Kembabazi Catering Centre in Naguru and the Marathon Grounds in Kasese from 30th August to 2nd September.
