KCCA FC’s winless run in the Uganda Premier League may come to an end or continue when they host arch rivals Vipers SC under floodlights at Lugogo on Friday evening (7 PM).
KCCA are second last on the league table with just one point while Vipers who are unbeaten so far are third with 14 points and the former are desperate to turn things around.
KCCA FC interim coach Jackson Magera understands the importance of the clash and has called on his boys to believe and play with responsibility.
“Tough game against a tough customer but we have to believe and play with responsibility,” he told the KCCA FC media.
KCCA have always found this fixture tough with only five wins against Vipers ten in the last 22 league meetings.
However, they won last season’s corresponding fixture 1-0 and will hope that is replicated on Friday.
Allan Okello could be in the Vipers squad for the clash which could give him a chance to face his former bosses.
A win for Vipers will take them within a point of leaders BUL who lost to UPDF 2-0 at Bombo on Thursday.
