28-man Uganda Cranes squad announced for Morocco friendlies

Uganda Cranes head coach Paul Put has unveiled a 28-man squad ahead of two crucial international friendly matches set to take place in Marrakech, Morocco this June.

The Cranes will first lock horns with African heavyweights Cameroon on Friday, June 6, before squaring off against The Gambia on Monday, June 9, 2025, as part of the team’s preparations for upcoming international competitions.

The squad features a blend of homegrown talent and internationally-based players, with 12 local stars drawn from the StarTimes Uganda Premier League and the remaining 16 players plying their trade abroad.

The local-based contingent is expected to report to FUFA House in Mengo at 12:00 pm on Monday, June 2, before flying out to Morocco later that day. Foreign-based players will join the team directly in Marrakech.

Friday, June 6: Cameroon vs Uganda – Kick-off: 20:00HRS (10:00 PM EAT)

Monday, June 9: Uganda vs Gambia – Kick-off: 16:00HRS (6:00 PM EAT)
