The I&M Bank Serena 63 Golf Series returns to the Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort and Spa this Saturday, October 3rd, for its second quarterly tournament of the 2026 season.
The series continues to gain momentum, with participation increasing significantly and a new leader emerging in the race for this year’s top honours.
A total of 139 golfers have registered for the series so far, up from 94 participants recorded during the previous quarter.
Henry Kibuuka leads the standings with 178 points, followed by former leader Dr. Sebaale Kato on 160 points, while Hon. John Byabagambi sits third with 138 points.
Former series champion Dave Plendeleith is tied for fourth alongside Elijah Luutu, winner of this year’s Seniors Open at the Johnnie Walker Uganda Open Golf Championship.
The second quarterly tournament will bring together Serena 63 members and guest golfers competing across various categories, followed by an awards ceremony and dinner.
The event also comes at a time when Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort & Spa continues to enhance its facilities, including the recent launch of Hole 3 and upgrades to the clubhouse deck, further improving the golfing experience.
Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort and Spa Golf Director Theo Van Rooyen said, “We continue to invest in delivering an exceptional experience for our golfers. With the introduction of Hole 3 and the upgraded deck, participants can look forward to another memorable day at the resort.”
I&M Bank Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications Annette Nakiyaga said, “We are delighted by the continued growth of the I&M Bank Serena 63 Golf Series. Increased participation reflects the excitement and value the tournament brings to golfers. We are proud to support a platform that strengthens connections and creates memorable experiences beyond the game.”
The tournament will be played in a four-ball format, with a full field expected after the draw filled up ahead of the event.
Participants will also enjoy a Monaco-themed 19th Hole Experience, offering an elegant and relaxed atmosphere, with guests encouraged to embrace the resort-casual dress code.
