Rugby star Aaron Ofoyrwoth stole the spotlight at the Fortebet RealStars Sports Monthly Awards for July 2024, earning top honors for his pivotal role in securing Uganda’s fourth Rugby Africa Cup Men’s Sevens title in Mauritius.

Ofoyrwoth’s exceptional performance, featuring six tries and nine successful kicks, earned him the MVP title of the tournament’s second round.

His quick starts and strategic playmaking consistently gave Uganda an edge, culminating in a decisive try that led to a 20-17 win over South Africa.

In football, Joseph Ssewali’s stellar contributions to Ssaza Ssingo in the Buganda Masaza Cup tournament were recognized as he scored three goals and provided two assists, keeping Ssingo unbeaten and at the top of Group B in the Muganzirwazza.

Boxer Sulaiman Segawa made headlines by defeating America’s Ruben Villa to win the WBC Silver Featherweight belt, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Meanwhile, in para-badminton, Sarah Nazziwa was honored for her silver medal at the Uganda International Para-badminton tournament in Lugogo, despite a close final loss to Brazil’s Carvalho Da Silva.
