*Arua Hill 3-1 Maroons
*UPDF 0-1 Wakiso Giants

Arua Hill are on 100 percent winning rate two matches into their 2022/23 StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) season.

The Kongolo thrashed Maroons 3-1 on Saturday at Barifa Stadium to go third on the 15-team league table.

Rashid Kawawa, Innocent Maduka and Rashid Toha scored for the West Nile side while Abraham Tusubira got the visitors consolation.

Arua Hill have six points, just four behind leaders BUL, who have played four matches.

On their part, Maroons have won one in four and sit two places and a point below Arua Hill.

The hosts opened the scoring on 12 minutes through Kawawa to take a 1-0 lead into the half time break.

They returned with the same energy, doubling the advantage on 58 minutes with Maduka scoring that one.

Maroons could simply not contain the pressure, going 3-0 down 11 minutes from time when they conceded a penalty. Toha made no mistake from the spot.

The visitors, Maroons, pulled one back through Tusubira seven minutes from full time but Arua Hill had already done their job.

Else where, Wakiso Giants went third on the league table following a narrow 1-0 victory over the UPDF on Tuesday.

Moses Aliro struck the game’s only goal at Bombo Military Barracks Ground to earn the Purple Sharks their second win of the season.

Wakiso are level on seven points with second placed SC Villa and four behind leaders BUL, who have played a game more.
