Arua Hill, Tooro United earn direct promotion to Uganda Premier League

Arua Hill SC and Tooro United have been promoted to the Uganda Premier League 2021/22  season after finishing atop their groups off victories in the FUFA Big League season finale on Sunday.

The club registered a 3-0 triumph over Paidha Black Angels while Tooro beat Kigezi Homeboyz 1-0 to attain automatic promotion to the nation’s top tier football division.

Arua Hill finish atop the Elgon Group with 30 points while Tooro top the Rwenzori Group with 31 points.

It will be making their debut in the Uganda Premier League while Tooro will be making a return to the top tier division after a one-season hiatus.

Four Big League teams will be battling for the remaining spot in the Premier League.

The other podium finishers from each group will battle in the playoffs to attempt promotion to the Uganda Premier League. The teams are; Gadaffi FC and Mbale Heroes in the Elgon Group and Proline FC and Nyamityobora FC in the Rwenzori Group.
