Uganda’s representatives at the Africa Club Volleyball Championships, Nemostars are into the quarter finals!
This is after they beat Ethiopian side Wolaita in straight sets to progress past the group stage.
Nemostars won the contest 3-0 as they took the sets 15-25,20-25, 22-24.
The victory ensured they finished second in group C behind leaders Keliba of Tunisia.
This was their second victory at the championships having beaten MTC on match-day one before losing to Keliba.
As a reward, Nemostars will now face Swehly of Libya at 2pm on Friday in their quarter final clash.
This is the second time they are reaching this stage after doing so in 2019 in Cairo, Egypt.
The team is currently under player-coach George Aporu who took over the coaching duties after the head coach failed to make the trip due to financial constraints.
