Renowned Ugandan musician Moses Ssali, famously known as Bebe Cool, will oversee the draw for the 51st Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 64. The event is scheduled for Monday, January 6, 2025, at Turaco Hall, Serena Hotel, starting at 11:00 AM.
Bebe Cool, a pioneer in reggae and ragga music since 1997, boasts strong ties to Ugandan football. His father, Jaberi Bidandi Ssali, played a pivotal role in the sport’s history, steering KCC (now KCCA FC) to their first CECAFA Club Championship title 47 years ago. Additionally, Bidandi Ssali managed Uganda Cranes during their historic journey to the 1978 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
Dubbed “Big Size” in the music industry, Bebe Cool is an ardent football supporter. Serving as an ambassador for the Uganda Cranes, he continues to nurture his passion for the sport through his son, Alpha Thierry Ssali. Alpha, a skilled winger for Express FC and a former Uganda Hippos player, carries on the family’s football legacy.
The Stanbic Uganda Cup, one of the nation’s premier football tournaments, unites teams from all corners of the country. The upcoming draw will set the stage for the Round of 64, as clubs compete for glory in this prestigious competition.
