Premium sports betting and online entertainment brand, Betway, has announced its continued support
for local basketball by extending its partnership with Betway Power Basketball Club.
Betway on Wednesday announced that it will continue to be Power Basketball’s Headline Sponsor for the 2021/22 season. The partnership is valued at UGX 200,000,000.
The key components of the partnership include player welfare, gym sponsorship, and kit purchase with a leveraging budget that will see Betway invest in the club so that the players and technical staff can perform at their best.
“This marks the fourth year we have sponsored Betway Power Basketball. We are delighted to see the partnership grow from strength to strength and as Betway, we are excited to contribute to the community that we operate in and support the growth of basketball in the country. We’re also proud to
unveil the new club kit with both home and away strips, and game day kits,” said Betway Uganda
Country Manager, Adellah Agaba via the company’s press release.
An additional component of the partnership will enable Betway and the club to carry out Corporate Social Responsibilities through initiatives off the court.
“We are thankful to Betway for the extended partnership. Their support means a lot and enables the players to be well prepared and motivated to perform well and challenge for the title,” said Power Basketball Club President, Patrick Obalim.
Breakdown for the partnership;
*Kit Sponsorship – Betway will provide all Power Basketball Club Kit and merchandise that
includes Game Day Kits, Training Kit, Travel Kit and gear.
*Players and technical team welfare – Betway’s will make sure players, who are the biggest asset for the club and sponsors, are well taken care of and are motivated to go out on the court and look for results every single game. This partnership will make this a priority.
*Gym Fitness sponsorship – Betway has a gym available for all sponsored teams and Betway
Power will be able to use these services to ensure players are in good shape and can ably
compete in the league.
*Leveraging – Betway will ensure that the club carries out Corporate Social Responsibility activities. This is achieved by enhancing management skills through capacity building training aimed at growing the team off the court.
