CAF Champions League: Vipers SC Lose To Al Hilal

Uganda Premier League side Vipers SC lost 0-1 to Sudan outfit Al Hilal during to first leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round played on Saturday at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende.

Al Hilal’s Bakhet Hamid made the only difference in the 26th minute off a perfectly timed volleyball from close range.

Vipers charges David Bagoole and  Ibrahim Orit both had shots on target but were denied to hit the back of the net by Al Hilal’s goalkeeper Ali Abdullah Ashrin.

Vipers are now facing a huge task to overturn the deficit in Khartoum in the return leg on December 6, 2020.

The overall winner between the two sides will face Asante Kotoko of Ghana or Mauritania’s Nouadhibou at the next stage of the competition.
