Renowned CAF Safety and Security Officer, Dixon Bond Okello, will oversee safety and security operations for the CAF TotalEnergies Champions League final (2nd leg) between Egypt’s Pyramids FC and South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns in Cairo on June 1, 2025.
This marks Okello’s third CAF final assignment in four years, having previously served at the 2022 Confederation Cup final between RS Berkane and Orlando Pirates, and the 2024 Champions League final between Al Ahly and Esperance. He also handled the 2018 Confederation Cup final between AS Vita (Congo) and Raja Casablanca in Kinshasa.
Joining Okello on the CAF stage is Leilah Nankya, FUFA Events Manager, who will be responsible for guest management during the Confederation Cup final (2nd leg) featuring RS Berkane and Simba SC in Zanzibar on May 25, 2025.
Ahmed Hussein, the former FUFA Communications Director, will take up the role of media officer for the same Confederation Cup final, further showcasing Uganda’s strong representation in continental football administration.
