Kampala, May 27, 2024: – The third outing of the Corporate Sports Network was held on Sunday, May 26, at the MUBS Arena in Kampala, featuring a vibrant mix of football and volleyball competitions. The event saw corporate teams from various organizations compete for supremacy and recognition.

In football, I&M Bank delivered a good performance with two wins, one draw, and one loss. The team triumphed over DTB Bank with a 2-0 victory and secured another win against SGA Security with a 1-0 scoreline. They held DFCU Bank to a goalless draw but faced a setback with a 3-0 defeat to Coca Cola.

However, the volleyball matches did not go well for I&M Bank. The team suffered a 2-0 loss to Housing Finance Bank and lost a closely contested game against Case Hospital, managing to win one set but ultimately losing 2-1.
The team captain, Sadam Kiremye, expressed optimism about their performance and future prospects. “Overall, we are doing quite well despite things not going very smooth in the third outing. However, we will take the positives from the games we won,” he said.

He also took the opportunity to acknowledge the upcoming celebration of I&M Bank’s 50th anniversary next month. “As we celebrate 50 years next month, we take this opportunity to celebrate our customers who are part of this sports network. We are glad to mingle with them in various competitions.”

With football as the primary focus of the competition, I&M Bank currently holds the fourth position on the table 28 points just like fifth placed Quality Chemicals. They are just two points behind table leaders Vision Group and a point behind Uganda Revenue Authority and Tropical Bank who are second and third respectively.

The next event in the Corporate Sports Network is the Swimming and Pool Table edition, scheduled for June 2 at Hotel Africana. Additionally, a networking night will take place on June 7 at Lambatini. The main event of next month will feature football and basketball competitions and will happen on June 30.
