The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has announced a major restructuring of its Football Administration and Management Course (FAMACO) as part of efforts to professionalise football management across the country.
The revamped programme now features a three-tier structure designed to meet the needs of stakeholders at various stages of their careers:
Level 1 is a 3-day foundational course (24 hours) covering football administration principles, governance, and basic management practices. It will be offered twice annually in the first and third quarters.
Level 2 is a 5-day advanced course (40 hours) focusing on financial management, marketing, competition management, and ethics. This will also be offered twice a year in Q1 and Q3.
Level 3 is a 3-month intensive programme (400 hours) targeting aspiring football leaders. It will focus on strategic planning, organizational development, and advanced management techniques. This level will be conducted once every two years.
FUFA says the new structure is aimed at equipping administrators, referees, officials, and coaches with the skills necessary to support the federation’s long-term goal of becoming Africa’s leading football nation.
Further details on course content, application procedures, and dates are expected to be released soon.
