Kitara FC striker Denis Omedi was named the best of February in the football category for the month of February during the Fortebet Real Stars Awards session held on Tuesday at Lazio Bar and Restaurant in Kololo, Kampala.
To secure the award, Omedi competed against KCCA FC forward Muhammad Shaban and NEC FC defender Joseph Dhata.
In February, Omedi scored six goals in five games in both the league and Uganda Cup. He has also been vital for helping Kitara move top of the Uganda Premier League standings with 39 points.
“I’m truly honored to receive the Fortebet Real Stars Award, and I owe it all to the hard work and dedication of my teammates. This recognition is a testament to our collective efforts on the field,” Omedi said, adding that; “February was a special month for us, and to be recognized with the Fortebet Real Stars Award is a humbling experience. It motivates me to continue giving my best for the team.”

On the other hand, Joseph Dhata also had six goals in five games in both Uganda Cup and league. Muhammad Shaban had four goals in five games in both Uganda Cup and league
Meanwhile, Dauglas Mulalira was named winner in the Kabadi category beating competition from A net Kirembe and Rose Nankumba. Mulalira emerged as the best rider in the Uganda Kabaddi Champions League with 127 Rides Points. He guided his side Superior Kabaddi Club to emerge as Champions with 26 tackles. It was nothing else apart from being announced as the tournament MVP in the Men’s Category.

In the rugby category Emilly Lekuru was named winner after competing against Ivan Kitabo and Cyrus Wathum. The Black Pearls winger scored a total of 90 points in the month of February for her side to keep them unbeaten in the women’s top tier division. Currently, Black Pearls stand top of the league log with 25 points.
Jas Mangat emerged winner in Rally category beating competition from Hassan Alwi and Jonas Kansiime. The Piri Piri team leader with his co-driver Enock Olinga were crowned champions of the Mbarara Rally after covering in 1 hour, 10 minutes, and 23 seconds with a commanding lead of 9 minutes and 57 seconds.

The Tuesday awards session was graced by Real Stars Sports Agency CEO, Isaac Mukasa, ForteBet assistant media manager Resty Mbatidde and Henry Zzimbe from Jude Color Solutions who are partners.
