Golfer Isaiah Mwesige produced a stellar performance at Toro Ladies Open 2025, claiming two titles at the prestigious tournament held at Toro Club over the weekend.

Playing off a handicap of 05, Mwesige carded an impressive gross score of 75, finishing runner-up in the Men’s Group A category finishing behind Otim Denis and Mabano Robert. Mwesige’s power and precision off the tee also earned him the Longest Drive (Men) award, completing a double at the third edition of the event.

Mwesige teed off at 3:00 p.m. in a competitive group featuring Peter Kisembo, Ian Mukasa, and Hebert, as part of a strong field of over 90 golfers who turned up for the tournament.

“It was a fantastic day on a well-prepared course,” Mwesige said after his round. “The competition was tight, and I’m pleased with how I played. I look forward to improving on this performance next time.”

The Toro Ladies Open, now in its third year, continues to grow in stature, attracting golfers from across the country and promoting the game’s development in Western Uganda. The event, while spotlighting women’s golf, also features a men’s category that remains fiercely contested.
