Uganda Premier League side Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) has introduced an exciting new player recognition program for the 2024/2025 season.

Announced in partnership with Felom Company Limited, this initiative aims to honor the exceptional talent and dedication of KCCA FC players, recognizing their achievements on the field and celebrating their contributions to the club.

The program, which starts with the remaining games of the season, will feature three awards: the “Man of the Match,” “Player of the Month,” and “Player of the Season.” Each award is named after KCCA FC legends, paying tribute to the club’s history and inspiring players to continue excelling in their performance.

Awards Breakdown

  1. Deins Okot Man of the Match Award: For each game, a “Man of the Match” will be selected and awarded a medal along with UGX 200,000.
  2. Frank Kyazze Player of the Month Award: This monthly award will honor outstanding players with a medal, a certificate, and a cash prize of UGX 500,000.
  3. Moses Nsereko Player of the Season Award: At the end of the season, the “Player of the Season” will receive a medal, a certificate, a customized plaque, and a grand prize of UGX 1,000,000.

The winners will be determined through a public voting system, allowing fans to have a direct say in the awards process, accounting for 60% of the final decision.

The remaining 40% will be determined by a selected panel of judges, ensuring a fair and balanced approach.

KCCA FC expressed pride in launching this program, which is seen as a meaningful way to engage fans while honoring the club’s legacy.

Through this initiative, the club hopes to inspire its players and bring fans closer to the game, creating memorable experiences throughout the season.
