The Chief of Busujju, Kasujju Mark Jjingo Kaberenge II, has appointed Franka Mulindwa as the head coach of Busujju Football Club ahead of the 2020 Buganda Masaza Cup.

The appointment of Mulindwa was confirmed on Thursday 14th, May 2020.

“Am happy that I have been appointed as the head coach of Busujju Football Club. I can assure the management and fans that I will work very hard to see that we make it to the finals,” Mulindwa pledged in response to his appointment.

“It’s high time we came and show that we can manage pressure games. The time I have been in the game of football is enough to guide Busujju not to participate, but to compete,” Mulindwa added.

“It’s my first time to handle a football team in the Buganda Masaza Cup, but there is no difference because it is the very tactics we apply in normal football,” Mulindwa emphasized.

Mulindwa will work with Hussein Kato and Habib Nsubuga as the assistant and goalkeeping coaches respectively.

According to sources, more working staff will be added to beef up the coaching department.

Busujju are yet to test the “sweetness” of the Buganda Masaza Cup ever since its enaction, with their best ever performance coming in 2018 when they finished the tournament in third (3rd) position.

Mulindwa joins Busujju with experience in youth football, after handling teams like Royal Giants Mityana, Muntah Royal College, and Bright Stars Junior Team.
