Uganda Premier League side Express FC on Wednesday 2nd September 2020 confirmed the return of midfeilder Kakooza “Yaya” Mahad to the team.

Kakooza, 22 re-joins the Red Eagles on a two year deal from Proline FC, becoming the fourth midfielder to sign up and eighth signing in total for the Wasswa Bossa coached side ahead of the 2020/2021 campaign.

Kakooza claims that his long history with the club prompted his return to the Wankulukuku based side.

“Firstly I am a fan of this great club. My dad too played here so when the opportunity presented itself I couldn’t turn it down. I am therefore very excited and proud to be at a club in which I am familiar with surroundings,” Kakooza said after completing his return.

Kakooza featured for Express in the 2016/17 season which was his first spell with the team. The attacking midfielder will be tasked with ensuring that the team’s attack is as creative as they come.

However, other new signings at the club are; two goalkeepers in Cryspus Kusiima and Denis Otim, centre back Richard Bbosa along with midfielders Abel Eturude, Baker Sakah, Godfrey Lwesibawa and forward Kiragga Mustafa.

Reports indicate that more players are set to be unveiled by the team including; Charles Musiige, Faisal Ssekyanzi, Enoch Walusimbi among others.
