Roy Mubiru, Uganda’s only representative at the 2019 World WPA Powerlifting championship has embarked on high-end drills at his training gym in Boston, USA.
Mubiru returned to the US last month after getting blessing from the Head of State during his short holiday in Uganda. The president (Museveni) also funded his preparations with $8000 (About Shs29m).
Mubiru is the only African to take part in the global championship due May 16-19 in Lutsk, Ukraine.
“I have already embarked on my training here in Boston. I have got no time to waste as the world championship is close,” disclosed Mubiru, who had doubled his sessions at Total performance Sports gym, Boston. He said that he has set a Gold medal as his target in order to repay the faith by the president and entire Ugandans.
