Ugandan international left-back Mustapha Kizza has completed a move to Kenyan Premier League side Nairobi United in the January transfer window.
The experienced defender joins the Nairobi-based club from Uganda Premier League side NEC FC, bringing with him vast top-flight and continental experience. Nairobi United confirmed the signing in a statement, describing Kizza as a proven Cranes international who adds quality, experience and attacking intent down the left flank.
Kizza, who has previously featured for KCCA FC and Express FC, is one of the most recognisable Ugandan defenders of the last decade. His ability to contribute both defensively and going forward has seen him play at the highest level in domestic league football and on the international stage with Uganda.
His arrival comes at a crucial time for Nairobi United, who have been one of the surprise teams this season following their promotion to the top flight. The club is also preparing for its maiden CAF Confederation Cup campaign, and Kizza’s experience is expected to be key as they juggle domestic and continental commitments.
The signing is part of a wider squad reshuffle overseen by technical director Salim Ali, as Nairobi United aim to maintain their strong push in the upper half of the KPL table.
