English Netball Superleague side Surrey Storm have announced that fan favourite and She Crane Peace Proscovia will enter her third season with the club.

Goal Shooter, Peace was the leagues’ leading shooter on 564 goals, which helped propel Storm into the top-four in 2023, before having to withdraw from the squad in May on medical grounds.

The previous year the Ugandan International was awarded the Gilbert Golden Shot award as the Top Goal scorer with 853 goals. That same year she was named the starting GS in the All Star VII, as voted for by all the NSL clubs.

Her accolades at international level include playing at the 2015 Netball World Cup and leading Uganda at the 2019 World Cup and 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Silverware in the form of gold medals at the International Cup in Tanzania (20019), Six Nations Cup in Singapore (2013) and Africa Netball Championships (2017).

Her previous clubs include Loughborough Lightning in the NSL and Sunshine Coast Lightening in Australia.

“Having played two seasons for Storm there is no other place I would have asked to be at than Storm. I’m grateful for another opportunity to play for the side,” Peace Proscovia told the club website.

“We are incredibly excited to re-sign Peace for her third season at Surrey Storm. Peace is a world class shooter who was formidable last season, until she stepped away just before finals. We are thrilled that Peace will continue in our club colours, and we look forward to build on the inroads made as a team to progress further as well as her individual league leading goal tally,” Head Coach Mikki Austin noted.
