Uganda Premier League outfit Police Football Club have secured the services of goalkeeper Sammon Oloka from Regional League outfit Lukayo Town Council FC. The 23-year old shot stopper signed a three-year deal with the club, with an option of extension but in an undisclosed fee.

“Oloka put pen to paper on a three-year deal at our offices in Kibuli, with an option for extension,” part of the club statement read on Wednesday.

Oloka has expressed delight in joining the side but has promised to deliver once given a chance to get in-between the sticks.
“I really feel great joining Police FC. It was one of my aspirations to play in the top tier league. I am going to give it my best and the team should expect a good performance from me,” Oloka said during his unveiling.

Police FC CEO Fahad Lumu has backed the youthful player to succeed at the club.
“He is a young blood with a lot to learn here and also other talent to connect with. He will be an asset in our goal keeping department,” Lumu said.

Oloka kept 15 clean sheets in his former club and now Police goalkeeping Coach Richard Konsole is optimistic that the player is a great addition to the department following Tom Ikara’s move from KCCA FC a few days ago.

“We are equipping our department to make it more competitive in the new season,” Oloka said adding that Oloka and Ikara will be instrumental in the team, as the club hopes.
