Soroti City will host this year’s edition of the Girls’ Schools Cricket Week from May 5th – 11th. The tournament will feature sixteen schools from six different regions. The tournament will be hosted by Soroti Cricket Academy with the schools hosted by St Mary’s Girls Secondary School Madera.
The schools that will feature in the tournament include:
Eastern Region: Light SS, St Mary’s Girls SS Madera, Olila High School
Northern Region: Masindi Secondary School, Sacred Hearts Secondary School
Nile Region (Jinja): St James SS, Good Heart SS, Iganga SS, Jinja SSS
Central Region: Ndejje SSS, Mukono Kings High School, St John’s SS Mukono, Gayaza High
Western Region: Kasese SS, Kilembe SS
South Western Region: Masaka SSS
“This is another opportunity to see the cream of our future women cricketers in action. We honestly hope they light up the occasion. Olila High School will be chasing a fourth title in a row at home, but they face competition from Light SSS, Jinja SS, Masaka SS, and Ndejje SS for the title.
Jinja SS are the record winners of the tournament with eight titles followed by Gayaza High School with four titles.
