Tikolo optimistic ahead of ICC T20 World Cup Africa

Uganda Cricket Cranes Head Coach Steve Tikolo is optimistic his charges will put up splendid performance in the forthcoming ICC Men’s Twenty 20 (T20) World Cup Africa Final. Uganda will host the tournament from May 17-25 at the Lugogo and Kyambogo ovals. The hosts will be without bowler Muhammed ‘Afridi’ Irfan, who is serving an ICC suspension following his alleged suspicious bowling during the World Cricket League Division III tournament against USA in September last year. However, Tikolo is confident that the team at hand is capable of delivering success and that he settled for the best as he summoned the team that will be captained by Roger Mukasa. “All the players that were summoned for training were good but zeroed for the best. It was hectic to pick from the squad since everyone was giving his best in training to make the cut,” he noted.  Cricket Cranes need to finish among the top two nations to qualify for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier due in United Arab Emirates (UAE) from October 11 to November 3 this year. Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Nigeria, Ghana and Botswana are the countries to battle in Kampala.
