The Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) announces that following a strategic review aimed at furthering the growth and development of cricket in Uganda, John Bipin Walusimbi will cease to be the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Uganda Cricket effective February 25, 2024.
Walusimbi’s departure follows a period of dedicated leadership, during which the Cricket Cranes made history with their participation in the 2024 T20 World Cup.
In the interim, Evelyne Kabongera, the current Financial Accountant at Uganda Cricket, will assume the role of Acting CEO.
She brings a wealth of experience in financial management and leadership and will steer the Secretariat as the UCA seeks a permanent replacement to take on the role and continue its mission to elevate Ugandan cricket to new heights.
