The National Junior Women’s Hockey Team has officially been flagged off to represent Uganda at the 2025 Junior Africa Cup, taking place from April 18th to 25th in Windhoek, Namibia.
The team, comprising young and talented players—many from secondary schools—depart on April 17th and will return on the 27th.
They head into the continental tournament with dreams of qualifying for the 2025 Junior World Cup scheduled for December in Santiago, Chile.
Captain Jolly Roy Alimo will lead the team on the pitch, supported by vice-captains Winnie Sarah Nandi and Hildah Star Balondemu. The contingent includes:
