The prestigious M25 Tennis Tournament is set to take place at Kampala Club from 6th to 13th October 2024, followed by the M15 event from 14th to 20th October.
Organized by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and the Uganda Tennis Association (UTA), the event will draw top-tier talent from around the world to compete for ATP ranking points and a total prize pool of $25,000 and $15,000 respectively.
The tournaments offer a crucial platform for local and regional players to compete against seasoned professionals, with wild card entries extended to Davis Cup players from Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda.
This marks the return of ITF Men’s World Tennis Tour to Uganda since its last edition in May 2019.
Key partners include the National Council of Sports, Jibu Water, and designated event hotels such as Fairway Boutique Hotel, The Choate Boutique Hotel, and Explorer’s Hub Hotel.
Officiating the event will be a team of certified umpires from Africa, led by South Africa’s Mxolisi Matyolo as the tournament referee. Ugandan officials, including two white badge holders, Charles Wanyama and Maria Goretti Naiga, will be part of the distinguished umpiring team.
The qualifiers for the M25 tournament will take place from 6th to 7th October, with the main draw commencing on 8th October. The M15 event will follow, running from 14th to 20th October 2024.
