UPDF FC and Express FC ended their long winless streaks in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (UPL) 2021/22 season following their victories on Tuesday, March 29.

UPDF emerged 1-3 winners on the road against Gaddafi FC at the Gadaffi Arena in Jinja whilst Express beat Police FC 2-1 at Wankulukuku.

Ezekiel Katende, Kigozi Ambrose and Okello Donato were on target for UPDF to earn the army side their first win since December 2021.

For Gadaffi, Brian Kalumba scored the consolation as the star got on the score sheet against his former side.

At Wankulukuku, Tonny Mawejje put Police in the lead earlier in the game but the home side fielded precisely to bounce back.

George Senkaaba and an own goal from George Kiryowa earned Express their first league win since January this year. It was also the first win for the interim coach James Odoch who has been in charge for five matches now.

Going forward, UPDF face an uphill task in their next match against KCCA FC at Bombo Barracks Military Ground on Tuesday, 5th April. Gadaffi FC will travel away to Arua Hill at Barifa Ground on Wednesday 6th April.

Express will seek to maintain their winning form when they come up against BUL FC later this week. Police will entertain URA FC at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
