The 2025/2026 StarTimes Uganda Premier League resumes today, Wednesday with two key fixtures, as clubs seek to consolidate their positions in the early stages of the season.
At 4:00 pm, Police FC will host Maroons FC at the newly inaugurated Police Arena on Kiira Road. The Cops, sitting sixth on the table with five points, are aiming to bounce back after a 2-1 defeat to SC Villa last weekend. Coach Matia Lule will rely on Congolese forward Bedia Djuma Ikamba, supported by Charles Bbale and veteran striker Umar Kasumba, to secure their first victory of the season.
Maroons, meanwhile, have had a mixed start, with one win, one loss, and two draws. Their last outing ended in a goalless stalemate against newcomers Calvary FC. A win for Maroons would see them leapfrog the 2005 league champions in the standings.
Later in the evening, at 7:00 pm, four-time champions URA FC will take on UPDF FC at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo. URA have struggled for a breakthrough this season, drawing all four of their opening matches, and will be desperate for a first win. The army side, UPDF, under the guidance of Paul Kiwanuka, have lost twice in three games and sit 12th with three points. Their previous visit to Nakivubo ended in a narrow 1-0 loss to Express FC.
