Reigning champions Buddo SS are set to face turf examination from Jinja Progressive academy (JIPRA) in the quarter finals of the 2019 Copa Coca-Cola this Thursday morning at Kakindu stadium.
JIPRA ejected record champions Kibuli SS on penalties after a 2-2 draw in normal time while Buddo SS beat Uganda Martyrs High School-Rubaga 2-0 to storm the last eight.
Buddo SS Head Coach Simon Mugerwa is confident his charges can see off stubborn JIPRA and progress to semi finals.
“To be the best, you have to beat the best. We are ready for whoever comes our way,” he noted.
In the other fixtures, St Mary’s Kitende faces St Henry’s-Kitovu at Kakindu grounds immediately after the JIPRA-Buddo SS 9am duel.
Standard High-Zana plays Royal Giant at Kakindu after the Kitende-Kitovu 11am tie while at 4pm, Jinja SS will play Bulo Parents at the same venue.
The semi finals will be played on Friday and the finals will precede the closing ceremony on Saturday at Kakindu grounds.
