The Cricket Uganda Boundary Banters League returns this Saturday with renewed excitement as Africa Cricket Club (ACC) and Centurions Cricket Club prepare to square off in a highly anticipated encounter at Florida Cricket Oval on 16 May 2026.
Originally scheduled for last weekend, the fixture was postponed after ACC requested additional time to finalize preparations. The rescheduled contest now headlines matchday two of the competition, with both sides eager to secure their first victory of the campaign.
The upcoming meeting will mark the first-ever Boundary Banters League clash between ACC and Centurions, adding an extra layer of intrigue to a contest expected to deliver competitive cricket and entertaining action.
Centurions enter the game determined to bounce back after a difficult opening round against Rounders Cricket Club. The side suffered consecutive defeats, losing by 25 runs in the morning fixture before falling by another 28 runs later in the day.
Despite the setbacks, there were encouraging performances within the Centurions camp, particularly from Brian Masaba. The experienced all-rounder emerged as one of the standout players of the opening weekend, scoring a combined 60 runs across two innings, including a half-century, while also claiming four wickets with the ball.
ACC, meanwhile, will make their first appearance of the season after using the extra preparation time to reinforce their squad. The club has remained tight-lipped about the identities of the new additions brought in ahead of the clash.
Known for fielding a youthful side largely composed of schoolboys, ACC management is understood to have added experienced players to strengthen the team and improve competitiveness as they seek a strong start to their campaign.
With both teams still searching for their maiden win of the season, Saturday’s encounter is expected to carry significant early-season importance in the Boundary Banters League standings.
The match at Florida Cricket Oval is anticipated to attract strong interest from local cricket fans as the competition continues to build momentum in its latest edition.
