Shakirah Nyinagahirwa also grabbed her first hat trick at the tournament while Fauzia Najjemba netted four times to take her tally six. Prior to the match, head coach Ayub Khalifa revealed desire to hit Comoros for dead in order to lead the group and avoid fierce South Africa at the semi finals.

“It is good we got the 15-goal victory goals we wanted has been achieved for us to lead the group. I am happy with the performance but we still have a lot to do in a bid to lift the title,” noted Khalifa, who made only one change in the starting XI that beat Mauritius 11-0 with Samali Nakachwa taking Zaitun Namaganda’s place.
