The handover ceremony was presided over by former FIFA referee and Uganda Football Referees Association (UFRA) Vice Chairperson Rosebell Rwamuyamba, who encouraged the referees to execute their work with a positive attitude in order to maintain the badges.

“I am grateful for all the effort you put in.  You must remain focused and dedicated to your job because FUFA reserves the right of giving the badges out and recalling them,” noted Rwamuyamba. “It is our mandate to fulfill FUFA’s mission to Develop, Promote and Protect football for all. Referees must be at their best.  We thank FUFA Excom for approving the proposal to improve referees’ welfare,” noted Deo Mutabazi, the Uganda beach soccer association Chairman.
