KCCA FC have announced the return of Bright Anukani, who has signed a three-year contract with the club, extending until the end of the 2026-27 season.
Anukani, a dynamic attacking midfielder, previously had a successful loan spell with KCCA FC during the 2020-21 season.
Known for his exceptional skills and playmaking ability, Anukani was named the most valuable player in the 2018-19 FUFA Big League.
Expressing his excitement, Anukani shared with the club’s website:
“I am so happy to be back at KCCA FC. I have unfinished business here. I was here on a season-long loan, and the majority of the players I played with then are still here. I want to win with this club and also help it achieve its objectives. I have a great bond with the coach, and he has already shared with me his plans ahead of the new season. I return a better player, mature and with experience, and I am here to work with my mates to return the glory days to Lugogo.”
Anukani’s return from Vipers SC, where he spent the last three years, is highly anticipated by fans and teammates alike. The talented midfielder, who was a 2019 FUFA Male Player of the Year nominee, brings with him invaluable experience from his time with the Uganda Cranes, including appearances at the CHAN finals.
Anukani will be competing for a spot in the midfield alongside Steven Munguchi, Ashraf Mugume, and Saidi Mayanja, adding depth and creativity to the team.
