Yasin Nasser’s maiden Tanzanian rally win has been blown into air after breaking rear right arm of his Junior Subaru GBV in the last stage of Atlantic rally of Morogoro 2022 on Sunday.

The Moil-sponsored crew (Yasin Nasser and Ali Katumba) who took command of the first Tanzanian rally championship round on day one (Saturday), painly dropped out at the time they needed every second of their time to be on podium.

“Good we have gauged ourselves against the local boys, we know what to do in the next rally,” said Nasser.

Next Tanzanian round is set for 20-22rd May, 2022 in Iringa.

With the cut throat competition that emerged on day two between earlier rally leader Nasser, Ford Proto driver Naeem Daud who had resumed lead after the two early morning stages and Skoda Proto driver Gurjit Dhani who eventually won the rally were only separated by seven seconds apart each other before the last two stages of the rally.

Meanwhile, Tanzanian speedster Ahmed Huwel promises to win Ugandan fans hearts when he particiapates in the Shell V-power Pearl of Africa rally set for 6th-8th May 2022.
